EAGER TO WRITE?
…that is amazing! We are always looking for the new authors in our team. Here is some info to get started:
-
If you have studied/currently study culture-related or language-related disciplines (e.g. Theatre Film and Media sciences, Art history, Musicology, Journalism, Philosophy etc.) - yes, Bohema is for you!
If you find pleasure in journalistic/creative/academic writing and want to have more practice - yes, Bohema is for you!
If you can write well in German or English - yes, Bohema is for you!
If you are willing to write creative, informed and interesting articles; critically analyse cultural events in Vienna in its social and political context - yes, Bohema is for you!
-
Bohema is a magazine about culture, and even though we do not write about politics per se, we believe art is political. Therefore, our values are important to us. Please, read our statement before you proceed, and if you stand to it - you are welcome to join!
-
Currently, we are not offering any official internships in any departments, and we do not offer paid employment. Our authors and editors volunteer on an unpaid basis. We are working on financing Bohema at the moment, and as soon as we can - we will be happy to accept employees :)
-
If you still want to write for us - please send us some information about yourself to this email. What do(did) you study? What interests you the most in culture? What bothers you? Just help us get to know you as a person and as a professional.
We welcome anyone with a passion for culture to share their thoughts and write for us! If you have something to say and can write about cultural topics, we’d love to see what you’ve got. We offer everyone the chance to submit a trial article, and from there, we can explore the possibility of working together further and helping you grow as a writer. Please keep in mind that our editors volunteer their time, so while they’ll give you feedback, their capacity is limited. We appreciate your understanding and enthusiasm!
